Arrived in New York in the summer of 1974 to work for Hausrucker CO, continued to work for Emilio Ambasz and for HOK in San Franciso as a freelance renderer while pursuing my conceptual architectural work. Formed a partnership, Batey&Mack in 1978 that lasted until 1984. Co founded Archetype Magazine and Western Addition, an organization devoted to Fine Architecture.
1985 / 99
Founded MACK Architect(s) in San Franciso, appointed Professor of Architecture at UC Berkeley in 1986 and in 1990 opened an office in Los Angeles. In 1993 appointed to Professor at the UCLA School of Architecture and Urban Design. Guest Professor ships in various architectural institutions and lectured world wide

Continued to teach and to practice at UCLA and in Los Angeles until Retirement in 2019. Started Career as Dj Orangela and founder of Archidance.
