Jury Comment:
In the small park landscape of the St. Margarethen art mill, this pavilion lets visitors immerse themselves in the world of art before they even enter. The building impresses with the elegant lines of the building edges and the diagonal ridge; Window cutouts arranged across the corner and the wooden shingle facade running over the entire building envelope underline the sculptural character of the building. The surprisingly simple, largely function-neutral interior is characterized by a supporting structure made of laminated beams, the round cutouts of which - following the course of the forces - are an example of the fact that there is room for artistic experimentation even in timber construction.
